Prishtina, 26 January 2012 - Anti-Corruption Agency would like through this press release to make a public clarification regarding the number of officials against whom the institution has initiated violation proceedings for non-disclosure of their assets under the Law on Declaration, Origin and Control of Property of Senior Public Officials.
Today (on Thursday), in some media in Kosovo, were published the names of several senior public officials where was claimed that against the officials have been initiated violation proceedings due to non-declaration of their property.
The truth is that from 84 senior public officials, only for 62 of them have been initiated proceedings in court while 22 other senior public officials have declared their property on the same day when the Agency published the declaration of assets of senior officials.
Their forms are found uploaded on the official website of the Agency on the internet www.akk-ks.org.
The names of 22 officials who made the declaration of assets on the same day when the list of senior officials for non-disclosure was published by ACA are:
