At the invitation of the Academy of the National Democratic Institute (NDI), the Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, Yll Buleshkaj, has participated in the Youth Integrity Academy (YIA) program, a project that aims at empowering young leaders.
In addressing the panellists on the topic "Corruption and Democracy: legal framework against corruption in Kosovo; the importance of citizens activation in the fight against corruption”, the ACA Director Yll Buleshkaj has presented the mandate of the Anti-Corruption Agency, a presentation which was followed by a series of questions regarding the communication of the ACA with citizens, respectively stakeholders.
The Director Yll Buleshkaj and the participants agreed that transparency and accountability affect citizens' confidence in institutions and that it needs to be done more to inform the majority and minority communities about reporting corruption, and preventing it.
