PRISHTINA, 16 JUNE 2009 - A delegation from the High Inspectorate of Declaration and Audit of Assets of Albania, headed by the Inspector General, Mr. Adriatik Llalla, stayed for a two-day visit to Kosovo at the invitation of the Director of ACA Mr. Hasan Preteni.
The delegation consisting of seven officials of this institution visited the Anti-Corruption Agency, with the aim of establishing a deeper cooperation between the two institutions. ACA Director Mr. Hasan Preteni greeting the Albanian delegation said that such meetings are welcome and will directly affect the establishment and strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
"HIDAA is an institution that has a long experience in the fight against corruption, so we as a new institution have continually asked them to help us in the professional capacity. I hope that this cooperation will continue in the future", he said.
On the other hand, his Albanian counterpart, Mr. Adriatik Llalla said that ACA although a new institution has already made a significant name with its work in the fight against corruption in Kosovo.
During their stay in Kosovo the delegation was accompanied by the Ambassador of Albania in Prishtina, Islam Lauka, and host of this delegation Hasan Preteni, and was received by the Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo Mr. Jakup Krasniqi.
During this meeting, speaker Krasniqi spoke about the work of the Assembly in the field of legislation and the necessity of combating corruption.
Whereas, the ambassador Lauka said that the commitments for deepening the cooperation between these two institutions will be widely supported, and that there must always be a tendency towards concretization of bilateral relations.
The Albanian delegation accompanied by Director of ACA Mr. Preteni visited the family of legendary commander Adem Jashari where they were welcomed by a representative of this family Mr. Murat Jashari.
