On the World Press Freedom Day, the Agency for Prevention of Corruption thanks the media for their cooperation in preventing and fighting corruption in Kosovo

“Today, on the World Press Freedom Day, we celebrate the invaluable role journalists play in fighting disinformation in Kosovo and around the world for a free and democratic society. Quality, clear and true information is essential for a democratic society based on the values of freedom, justice, honesty, respect and dignity," said the APC Director, Yll Buleshkaj.
The agency believes in mutual and honest cooperation with the media to fulfil its legal mandate in the prevention of corruption. Last year, the Agency increased the number of public communication activities compared to previous years, as well as doubled the responses to media and NGO requests, without discrimination of either of them. During 2022, the Agency received and answered more than 170 questions, and initiated more than 30 cases based on media reports.
‘’The Agency is grateful to all journalists who remain the front line of the defence of democracies and the foundation of a free and fair society,” Director Buleshkaj said.
